Okay, so Chapter 18 is finally out. As you may have noticed, the ticker now says Interlude III rather than chapter 19. This is because I'm going to write a section from Dumbledore's perspective that takes place just after the end of chapter 18 and provides some insight into things that I can't necessarily get from Harry and Ginny's point of view.

Chapter Eighteen is complete and has the title "Connections". It took me a while to get this one done because I have had real life things going on (moving, among other things), but as soon as it gets through beta I'll publish. I'm also going to be doing another outtake and I have no idea how long that will be, but hopefully it'll be out in less time than a regular chapter.

I thought I'd update in text to tell you guys that Chapter 18 has just gotten a lot of fun to write. No spoilers, but something happens that I personally had a lot of fun with. It's taking a bit longer to write than I expected, but we're getting there.

Well, I suppose I'm back. As you have probably already noticed (or if you haven't, you will shortly) the next chapter of Soul Nexus has been through beta and posted already. It's been almost a half year since I've published a chapter and I thank those who bear with me through the lack of inspiration and motivation to write on the story. I needed a bit of a break to slow down and treat it more as fun than work, like it should be. Suffice to say, I'm happy to be writing again and I have plans to continue the story just as before.
Whether you are a new or returning fan, I invite you to read both Chapter 17 and maybe even the rest of the story - I know it took me a few days to remember everything that was going on and that will be happening. If anyone has any questions or comments, I love reviews and if you feel so inclined I don't mind answering emails. Now that I'm back and writing again, I hope you all continue to enjoy my work.
